Nancy and her husband Ted purchased the restaurant and catering entity in 1999 and immediately made their mark. In April 2006, the two changed their business concept and name to Quince, located in the heart of Needham, MA. Nancy’s personal touches can be felt throughout the restaurant and in every detail of the events she caters. After training at the Cambridge Culinary School in Cambridge, MA and extensive experience at Tiger Lilly Caterers in Boston, Nancy knows what it takes to create a memorable event, whether it’s a wedding for 500 guests, a business lunch for 30 executives, or an intimate family gathering. “I love working with my clients to help them create lasting memories,” says Nancy. “Planning an event is an emotional experience and it gives me great pride to guide my clients through the process. Knowing when to be hands-on and when to step back a bit is a science in an industry based on personal relationships, intuition and gut instinct. That’s why I love it so much.” Whether she is guiding clients in the selection of the perfect wedding venue, creating a menu based on clients’ personal tastes, or overseeing logistics the night of an event, Nancy’s love for catering is apparent. Through her creativity and Quince’s talented, friendly catering staff, Nancy continues to “wow” her clients. According to Maureen Rousa, Director of Society for the Preservation of New England Antiques (SPNEA), “Your staff made it through the first big storm of the season to cater ‘SPNEA cocktails’ in flawless form… followed by a superb dinner for our old friends…Tasty from start to finish and we remain most grateful for your fine service.” Additional praise for the restaurant’s catering comes from: “The wait staff was professional, courteous and looked like they were having fun! We are now life-long fans of Ian’s cooking.” – Kristin Neff, a Bride “Once again, you produced a fabulous party for Gore Place. Dinner for the Garden Lecture was terrific – it tasted wonderful and looked beautiful. Thank you for the great job you always do.” – Deborah Gates, President, Gore Place “Nancy and crew, we’ve gotten a ton of compliments on the food you served at our holiday party and on the staff. Thanks to you and your friendly, capable crew, it was a huge success.” – Dru Davidson, Rich May Law Firm
